About us

Two friends from school

Michele is a conductor in Trieste. Like everyone in this job, he travels: auditions, competitions, concerts, rehearsals in another city. Every trip is money going out, and the heaviest line is not the train, it is the place to sleep.

We talked about it for years, then the idea became a single sentence: couchsurfing for musicians. A home where someone already plays, a spare room, two people who recognise each other without having to explain themselves.

The other friend is Pietro, who built the platform. There are two of us, nobody else behind it.

What we chose

Few rules, held tight

People come in one at a time

We look by hand at the proof that you play before opening the door. It is the slow part of the work, and it is what makes the rest possible: whoever opens their home has to know who is walking in.

Every night is decided by the host

No automatic calendar, no booking that goes through on its own. A request arrives, the host reads it and says yes or no. A no needs no explanation.

A real saving

Money never passes between two musicians. The host earns nothing and gets nothing in return, the traveller drops the heaviest cost of the trip.

The project wants to stay almost free. We ask for a contribution of 36 euros a year, which covers running the operations and the cost of making it known among musicians. There is nothing else to pay, at any point.

The two faces

Who is behind it

No editorial team, no office. This is us.

Michele

Conductor, Trieste.

Pietro

The other friend from school, the one who built the platform.
